2 for 1 Las Vegas Show Tickets for Locals (2024)

Half priced show tickets? 2 for 1 Las Vegas show tickets for locals? Cheap Vegas show tickets? All of these sounds pretty amazing if you’re looking to enjoy entertainment in the Vegas Valley—especially as a local. But are these offers legit? Do they still exist? And even more importantly, are there better offers out there? (Spoiler: yes, there are and we’re about to tell you about them).

Before we show you the deals, we have to answer this question. The only thing better than 2 for 1 Las Vegas show tickets is 3 for 1 or 4 for 1, right? If for some reason you’re still feeling like paying for tickets as a local, there are a few things you should know about most 2 for 1 Vegas show ticket for locals sites. We don’t mean for this to deter you from using those sites, but it’s important that you understand what’s going on to judge if it’s the right fit for you.

Here are a few things that 2 for 1 local sites might not tell you about the tickets they have for sale.

They often just double the price and call if half off.

If you’ve ever shopped for anything before, you know that sometimes the sale price isn’t as great as it seems. With 2 for 1 show tickets for locals, this is sometimes the case. Instead of just giving you two tickets for the price of one, they’ll double the price of the tickets (so they look really expensive) and then let you get those tickets as two for the price of one.

So, in reality, you’re just paying the normal price because they doubled everything and then cut it in half again. Not every show does this, but it’s a pretty common and well-known practice to make you think you’re getting a deal when you’re really not.

For example, if we told you that tickets were $100 to go see a show, you might say those tickets are expensive. But, what if we told you that the tickets were only $200 $100 (50% off!). They’re literally the exact same price but we bet that second one looks like a better deal to you. It’s a psychological trick that marketers have been using for decades and the ticket sales industry is not immune.

Sometimes it’s just a percentage off and not really 2 for 1.

Coupled with the above trick, sometimes you aren’t actually getting 2 for 1, but you’re getting a discount on each ticket you purchase. What is nice about this is that if you only need one ticket, you can still cash in on the “savings.” The problem, though, is that a lot of the time these “savings” are the doubled price cut in half—so not really savings at all.

Other times, it’s the price hiked up and then a percentage less than 50% taken off the cost. Depending on how far the price was hiked before the discount is applied, this could be an even worse deal! Again, this is not everyone doing this, but it happens more than you most likely think.

You’re often buying from an unknown third party.

The biggest challenge with 2 for 1 Las Vegas show tickets for locals is that they’re rarely sold this way through the actual venue. What that means is that you have to purchase the tickets through a third-party that you most likely have never heard of and don’t know if you can trust. Unfortunately, this is a pretty big risk for what might not even be savings.

At this point, we hope that if you’re a Vegas local looking to save on show tickets, you’d be heading on over to check out Plug In Vegas. If not, though, here are the places you can go to purchase 2 for 1 Las Vegas show tickets for locals.

  • Internet websites – If you do a quick Google search, you’ll find several websites offering these deals. You’ll see them in the ads and the organic results with catchy names signaling they offer deals on tickets. Again, please be on guard when using these platforms.
  • Street hustlers – If you happen to be playing tourist on The Strip, you’ll find a lot of people walking the street selling show tickets that are either heavily discounted or half off (2 for 1). While you might be able to get a good deal here, be careful. Sometimes the tickets they are selling are free to begin with, and sometimes they’re counterfeit. The problem with this is that if you are ripped off, you’ll never find that person again to be able to try and get your money back.
  • Forums – A lot of times, we’ll see show tickets sold at a discount on internet forums like Facebook and Reddit. Again, you have to take the same precautions here because you never know what you’re going to get. Yes, you can score a good deal, but you can also get ripped off without much room for recourse.
